In the menu "Utilities / Photo editor setup..." I have select Affinity Photo as my external photo editor
If in a thumnail, I right click an select "Edit image(s) option the image is edited in the Qimage default editor and no in Affinity Photo.

How can I edit an image in Affinty photo from qimage directly?

Use the menu option two entries above "Edit Image(s)": the one that says "Send to Photo Editor/Converter".
