Hi Guys,

Using QI Ultimate on a brand new PC running Windows 11 (Clean install). Experiencing some issues with V2023.100 so upgraded to V2023.101 this morning. Issues still persist. I am seeing lots of error messages such as List Index Out of bounds (1) - i/o error 123 and access violations at address OOffD850 in module 'Qimage.exe Read of address 4589575B.

Difficulty adding images to job queue, unable to remove some jobs. Unable to close down Qimage without using task manager.

Wondering if Win 11 pro is blocking access to files?? Do I need to add qimage to an exclusion list in firewall or anti-virus maybe?

Any suggestions please? Thanks
John

Windows 11 (Defender or firewall) wouldn't be blocking it.  I would suspect antivirus software first.  What are you running for anti-malware app(s)?

Mike

Hi Mike. I am not using any other anti-virus or anti-malware other than what comes as standard with windows 11 pro. It's a clean install too.

OK.  What did you choose for the application data folder?  In Qimage, assuming you can get this far, click "Utilities" from the top menu and then "Explore Qimage Application Data" and see what folder opens.  You may not have proper permissions in that folder.  This sometimes happens if you install Qimage incorrectly.  For example, I see a lot of people using their admin account to install, then switching to a limited account to use Qimage.  This is a big no-no.

Don't know if any of this applies to your case.

Looks like the default Mike.

user/AppData/Roaming/ddisoftware/Qimage

I switched off all of the AI options this morning to test and so far I have not seen and of the issues from yesterday. When I have some free time I will try to replicate the errors by switching between those settings. Windows has also been running some automatic updates, so it is possible that this is a microsoft "feature" too
