I've finally purchased QU after using Studio version for a long time. My PC is a Dell XPS 8500 operating Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. Does QU automatically configure itself to 64 bit, or does it matter? My two printers are an Epson Stylus Photo R220 and an Epson Artisan 837. How do I establish profiles for them in QU? Or is this done by QU automatically. I have printed two photos using the R220 and everything appears to be working OK. I have a lot of learning to do starting with the Video Learning Center. Thanks. Yes, QU install looks after all that - the program goes into C:\Program Files (x86)\Qimage-U and program data, thumbnails, profiles, filters etc.. etc. go into  C:\ProgramData\ddisoftware\Qimage.
If you already have printer profiles, they will be in C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color so you can get to those from the Job Properties tab, bottom right of the main screen.
Did you un-install Q Studio or is that still active?

I should have also said "Welcome to the the merry band of QU users". If there's anything that you do not follow on the videos etc. ask as many questions as you like here.
Also, QU should recognize and use all your saved jobs and printer setups.

Thanks for the welcome and the help. I have not uninstalled Q-Studio. Should I go ahead with uninstall? Thanks. Bruce Sr.

Hi Bruce,
Terry asked me to pop in with some information for you. He's tied up but read your post.
As to Studio, I would uninstall if you need the room, or if you just don't like obsolete stuff hanging on.
You wont be using it again.
Ultimate has everything that Studio did, but triple the power.

You will not hurt anything. As a matter of fact you will avoid some possible anomalies.
I do keep Studio and Ult. on the same machine, because, along with Terry, we try to help out when questions are posed. Some of the questions are Studio based so we want to recreate the issue.
The anomaly arises when I open Studio, and later close it, it saves the default printer which in my case is different from my Photo printer.
The way to avoid that is to either get rid of Studio, or in my case, I close Studio using FILE, EXIT without saving.

Other than that, no worries, and enjoy.
As Terry indicated, we enjoy helping and answering questions, so please don't hesitate to discuss anything that may seem mysterious or not obvious.

That wasn't my experience. I've kept my copy of QImage Studio so that I can go back to some of my custom jobs done in Studio that don't appear in Ultimate's job log.

I was all tied up yesterday, so I am sorry that I couldn't answer sooner.

I have Studio and Ultimate running on my 64 bit W7....
Unless you have changed the location of the files during install or after, both programs draw from the same SAVE folder.
Also I just want to mention one other item so we are on the same page.
You are talking about the "RECALL_PRESS THE J BUTTON (for Jobs)"_ and locating a Saved JOB>?

Screen snap #098 is Qimage Ultimate's screen of RECALL "J" button.

Screen snap #099 is Studio's screen of the RECALL "j" button.

They both draw from the same SAVE folder.
