Probably an utterly stupid question. When I want to copy a file in the thumbs window and keep it in the same directory I should rename it. But how does one rename it during that copy session?

Hi Ernst
What I do is right click on the thumb. Then I select RENAME. Just swipe that and COPY. Cancel that box.
Right click again and select COPY. Delete what is in the box and replace with a PASTE; add something to make the name different. I add an A to the end of the filename before the .CR2. Say OK and the new copy (A) appears next to the original

Fred, thank you. That works, less elaborate as what I was doing, throw in a new created map (copy allows that) and move it back with a 2 after the name. As I often do not need more than a temporary copy to make two different crops to go into one test print I can also just get rid of the total filing address in "Copy" and type Copy. I thought selecting the thumb and drop it in the same window would create the name extended with copy in Windows style.
