How can I close a job and start from scratch with "Recall saved printer settings" with no thumbs selected?

Right click on the live view where the prints are and select "Remove All".  Then load your desired printer setup.

There is also an option to clear the live view automatically after you print if that fits your normal workflow: see "Edit", "Preferences", "Remove Prints Automatically".
