I have noticed this odd behavior of late.

Example:

I have 4 images in the lower left View window.  I pick one and drag it over to the right Print window, and sometimes the one I was dragging ends up being some other one in Viewer pane that gets placed into the Print pane - not the one I initially dragged.  Like it let go once I crossed the others, picked another one in there, and moved it into Print pane instead?

No big deal as I can try again a few times and it will get there eventually (if another doesn't get picked up in the interim), or if I drag it "under" and not "through the others" it will get placed into the right Print pane.

I tried a second mouse thinking maybe the mouse was releasing and re-fetching the selected one for another image during the drag, but it works the same with either one.  Huh?

I cannot repeat your problem. at all. I don't often drag unless I'm using a template, I prefer to use the + button on the thumbnail, it is much quicker.

I'll try it that way by hitting the + button on the image.  Never tried it that way before as I'm too used to dragging-and-dropping stuff.

Mack,
I can get that behavior at will. It comes from being too fast with the mouse.
If you select (just click) the thumb first, it will prevent the wrong thumb from moving.
I will mention it to Mike to see if he can speed up the select reaction time when dragging.
I use a BALL mouse, and that is a fast dragger!

As for Terry's + sign method, that works fine, but there are times when you must drag. + click doesn't fit.
If you want to position two or three images on the page, even overlap, the moment you move the first image in the preview panel, the page goes into Freehand mode.

Now you MUST drag the next image. The PLUS button will put subsequent images on page 2/

For right now, just give the thumb you want a chance to be selected (split second) before you drag it.

Just spoke to Mike.... all fixed...

See if you can get that kind of service from any other software ..... some have a "room" suffix, some have a "shop" suffix.

This fix will appear in v2014.119 then?  Huh?

I thought it might have something to do with the Instaview thing and its loading bar.  But yeah, quick-clicking and dragging fast seems to make it worse.

Aside, here's another niggle I found.

Once you have a print in the right pane, select a new Printer Profile ICC > Choose new profile > Browse for ICC profile.

Pick a new profile near the bottom of the selection box window (Which isn't resizeable by dragging the pane down so the last line is a partial line shown one here, maybe 80% of that line is shown.).  If I select it on mine, it selects 4-5 profiles (they all become blue) beneath it if I select the bottom one as it is close to the bottom rather than one complete line.

I see what you are doing. It never happens to me I guess, because I scroll the list and select what I want. If what I want is partially obscured bu the lower edge, I give one more click scroll to ensure that I have the right one and to ensure that I have selected the right one.

Nothing about Instaview, just the timing of select. All fixed. I tested it too.
