Ok this another WOW feature.

I have good news and better news!

Good news!

The scene is (for me) that I have 9 images in the queue that I want to print.
I just went through 122 shots and I think these can really be nice prints.
BUT!
I want to print 4 of them at A3 size, and the rest, at 8.5 x 11.
Well, I can't leave them in the queue or they all will print at A3. I usually had to delete from the queue the 5 that would be 8.5 x 11 prints, and write the names down for reinsertion into the queue after the A3 prints finished.
Either that, or Save the whole thing as a JOB, and recover and delete from the JOB.
Either way, it was clunky.

Second scenario:
I was out taking pictures with two other men, and got some nice shots. A few of the shots were of us, the guys!
I put a few nice shots into the queue including the shots of the fellows.
I have 7 of them, with three of us fellas!
I can put the 7 in the queue for emailing to the guys, but only 4 of them get emailed to Terry.

How?
Let's take the upper scene.
I am set to print 4 prints at A3, plus I have the other 5 in the queue that I worked on. They will print at 8.5 x 11.

I click select each of the 5 in the queue, and Right Mouse menu... select ON DECK.
I select ON DECK and use the choice of Place ON DECK, and remove from queue.
In effect, I now have my 4  A3 ready to print with the other 5 resting in the ON DECK Circle.
I print my A3 prints, clear the queue, and tick the NEW green ball near the search binoculars.
The ON DECK queue opens with the rest of your job. Set the new size and put them into the queue.
Print again!

Now the Better news!

We called Paramount, MGM, and Dreamworks.
A video should be up and posted in the Qimage Learning Center, tomorrow.  should be noonish EST.

** Factoid.  The On Deck Circle and ON DECK are terms from US baseball where the next batter must stay until his turn to bat arrives.

I had in the back of my mind there was a post where the QU user was having a problem and wanted an easy way to retain the queue even if the program was re-started so I searched the forum posts.

Think the new feature solves that one because after placing the queue items ON DECK, they are retained there on re-start of QU and the queue can easily re-loaded 
There have been a more recent query in a similar vain but I've not found it.

It was a joke!  Actually the term "on the bench" for Football (= soccer) is a good one; it's where players wait to be substitutes, the number is limited.
Oh, and Rugby is far more respectable and too cold for what you suggest, I think?

Here's a little secret about QU On Deck that others may not have noticed: On Deck is a special Album. So what you might say but in the past I've often wanted to create an album from the queue but up till now it's not been possible.
All you need to do to keep as an ordinary album is, in the Album list, re-name from On Deck to a name of your choice. The description stays as On Deck Photos but that is not an issue.

That's exactly what I would do too.
I needed a way to remember which ones I wanted to print large, and which ones smaller, and some for emailing, and I used the green stripes of Ratings too.
It was clunky, but it served the purpose.

I was talking to Terry yesterday, and we agreed that it is more fun to find more things a feature like ON DECK can do, than just what the video shows.

Use the NORMAL button unless you have a locked printer or something.
The other choice will reset everything to default.

The only time I get that is when I have two Qimages open at once, or a forced shutdown of Windows.
