I'm on 2017.114. Printer is an Epson SC-P800. I have defined a custom page size of 431.8x675mm (in the Epson driver). I put one tiff on the page and specified custom size with a short dimension of 352mm. This results in a long dimension of 581mm. When I put the cursor on the image, it shows the correct size, when I put the cursor on the page outside the image area it suddenly says 669.1x352. When trying to print something tries to fit the image (probably thinking it is too long) which results in a height of around 308mm. That's one expensive piece of baryta ruined. Has anyone noticed something like this before? Am I doing something wrong? Don't want to waste more expensive paper. In the Epson driver I did notice a box "optimize enlargement" which was ticked. Could this be causing the trouble?

When you hover your cursor over the print on the Live View (to show the properties for that print), you said it shows the correct size there.  Hovering over the white space on the page shows you the page properties, so that sounds good too.  Since you said the correct size is shown when you hover your mouse over the print on the Live View but you end up getting a print size that differs from that, it means the issue is in the driver.  Since the print properties in Live View show you the exact size that is sent to the driver, whenever you get an actual print that is a conflicting size, the driver is modifying the print size (internally).  The only exception is if you have a non-zero value in the "Canvas" entry on the Settings tab but I'm assuming that is zero.

In most cases, the cause is a reduce/enlarge checkbox in the printer driver.  Click the "Properties" button on the Settings tab and go through the printer driver options and be sure there are no options that are set to reduce or enlarge prints.  Also make sure borderless is turned off if you want exact sizing but I doubt that is the problem here because borderless printing typically causes larger print sizes, not smaller.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks. The page properties are not entirely correct. The length is ok (669 = 675 minus 2x3mm margin), but the width shows 352, which is the print width, not the page width (which is 431.8mm).

I have set "sheet" as the source. I'm assuming Epson has no problems with this page size with the sheetfeeder as input. Maybe I should have chosen "roll".
