Suddenly I am getting a Qimage error with red X and message STATES: Thread Error: The Handle is invalid (6)

I have tried reinstalling, but did not change anything. Qimage is also running very sluggishly.

Running Win 10 home edition. I am not aware of changing any settings or other changes.

Still prints, but very sluggishly and images are extremely desaturated  -

Have not tried extensive trouble shooting and hoping the error message gives a quick fix on the problem.

Suggestions welcome.

Those symptoms together are usually an indication of file corruption.  I would suggest putting a few known/good photos in a folder with no other files and work in that folder to see if the problems disappear.  If so, you may have some corrupted images in your original folder.  Also be sure you have all the latest Windows 10 updates: MS has been repeatedly breaking and fixing the Windows print spooler in the last 3 updates and the latest one (released yesterday for most) seems to have fixed the printing problems.

Thanks Mike for your very speedy response.

Your diagnosis was correct, and I isolated the problem to files in a specific folder.

I was able to work around the content of that folder and can now troubleshoot the files in that  folder at my leisure and eradicate any corrupt files.

Everything else seems to be working fine.
