Is it possible to rotate individual images on a teplate layout sheet once they are added to the queue and placed on the sheet?  I want to print "Proof" sheets using the 16-up template sheet and put them in a binder.  The problem is that the orientation of the landscape vs. portrait photos is not what I want.  If I punch holes so that the portrait-oriented images are upright (when punch holes are on the left), the lansdscape-oriented images are placed so that the bottom of the image is on the left (toward the ring bindings).  I would like them to be toward the right, so they can be viewed correctly by turning the binder 90 degrees clockwise (with ring binders at the top).

Is there a way in the template layout file (*.tpl) to designate a rotation for landscape vs. portrait images?

I am assuming that you are using either 16 up order sheet or Contact sheet 12, 25 or 28.
Yes you can rotate individual images.
Imagining the rings of the ring binder at the top, made it easy to to see what you want.
The easy way is to add the images to the template ignoring the the orientation for the moment.
When you have added all you wish to use to the Proof sheet, then hold the Control key and using the mouse, select the ones you want to be rotated.
Then right click on the preview panel (large image, upper right of the screen) and select SET PRINT ROTATION in DEGREES.
I selected -90 degrees, and the images that I had selected rotated left 1/4 turn.
Worked great that way.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Fred.  I couldn't find the "preview panel" you were talking about, but I found that I could do the same thing by selecting the images and using the green rorate arrows in the "Print Properties" menu.  That does exactly what I want to do.

The preview panel is the upper right area of the main screen where you see the images you added to the queue.
Glad it works out.
That rotate arrow does that same as my first method except you are doing them one by one unless you select multiple images.

Well Duh........Silly me.....If it was any plainer it would have jumped off the screen and bit my nose.

It turns out that using the green "Rotate" arrows didn't work well and neither did the right-click menu method because the arrows only rotate by 90 degrees at a time, and after one or two rotations, the text in the grey frames gets scrambled.  A similar thing happened with the right-click menu method.

Actually, what turned out to work the best was to load the images into the template as usual, and then just change the page orientation to "Portrait".  It got all the images in the correct orientation and didn't muck with the text.

If you try the first method or right clicking the large preview panel image and select print rotation, it lets you do 90 degrees or 180 degree rotate using - 90 or + 90 or 180.
No problem at all
