Looking  closely the edges are actually mirrored images. The last 1/4 inch which is really the end of the picture is printed as like a mirror image.  I hope I'm making since. Anyway to check it, I printed out of Light Room Classic and the print was perfect. How odd yeah? Any ideas? It's getting late here and I'll try again late tomorrow.
Hello and welcome.
I have never used this feature myself as it is usually used with canvass or a wrap.
It sounds like you may have mirrored borders turned on.
The "switch" is found at the bottom of the  Prints tab where the borders settings are located.
See screen snap.
There is a selection for mirrored borders. Turn it off Click on the little box of INSIDE border. You can clear it there or make all zeros for sizes.
I just made a print with Mirrored Borders turned on and thatis exactly what I   got; just as you described.
If I am wrong, we wait for Mike around my 7:30 am   EST
Betcha I am right from what my print looks.
Again, welcome

That printer driver does not come with profiles.
What driver settings are you using with regard to color.
I stand corrected. That printer does come with profiles. I googled it and read one report that there were none.
Sorry,

I am using Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy, and have selected 'Photo Paper Glossy' in the printer settings.
The profile box is set to 'Let printer driver handle color'.
I have no profiles made.  The printer Color Management is set to ICM
See attached images.
If you are set to the same, and Let driver manage color shows in Qimage profiles, you should be fine,  If it still is magenta, then we wait for Mike.

Good day all,
I have recently begun using Qimage ultimate, and am beset with a problem whereby all my prints exhibit a strong magenta cast.  If I revert to printing from ACDsee, the color rendition is almost perfect.   I am using an Epson XP-970 printer, though I cannot imagine that is relevant to my problem, as it produces the desired prints when used per ACDsee.  Can anyone please offer a solution ?

The first question is: What paper, and most important, what profile are you using. That printer driver does not come with profiles.
What driver settings are you using with regard to color.
What is in the Qimage profile box in the setup panel? Does it say OFF or Let printer driver handle  color?
Did you have profiles made? If not, we have to set the driver properly.
Fred

PS This is from Epson's suggestion page

As ICC profiles are ink. paper, printer related - this service involves sending a printed chart so we can make an ICC profile using your inks paper and printer it is not a download service. Once received we usually make the ICC profiles same day.

Question. A large number of settings exist under the Blue Gear icon (Qimage Printing Options). I read the Help and watched the video. The Interpolation for Normal Prints shows the max of "Overdrive 1440 PPI", but AI has never selected this setting. I'm printing with the ET-8550 which is capable of a "Maximum Print Resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi." My images are shot with a Sony a7IV which has a resolution of 7008 x 4672 ppi. AI has always selected/defaulted to the Max 720 PPI. Should I be using 1440? Clarification, please. Thanks!

AI is working properly as Epson's have a max PPI  720 ppi That is Pixels per inch which refers to print size. DPI refers to DOTS PER INCH and is max resolution for the image.
The 1440 is Qimage using its own "Overdrive" If possible it doubles the native max print resolution.
My Canon has a normal max print resolution of 600 PPI, and Qimage's Overdrive makes that into 1200.
The Max setting in the driver for ppi is 720. Normal for that driver is 360. A special setting in the driver will boost to 720 ppi. Qimage will allow Overdrive changing it ti 1440.
This is Mike's genius, and on some prints, you can see the improvement; not all.

When I click on the File icon on menu bar, all I get is recall. I no longer see options for selecting either images or folders from my desktop. I recently upgraded to windows 11 and I wonder whether this could be the cause.
If I were to reinstall Qimage Ultimate, would this clear the problem?

Maybe I'm not reading it right, but clicking on the yellow folder always opens the SAVE folder which contains all the jobs and templates etc. To see folders and images, click on FOLDERS above the thumbnails.

If I didn't get it right, just hit me again.

There is no setting that suggests such the case except under properties it displays 19.95 x 13.50 @240 PPI. Still, the actual shown print shows proper 6.6" x 4.73 image size with excellent PPI.

Just one quick question. Did you set the paper size in Qimage?
You must tell Qimage what size PAPER you are using.. That will set the driver automatically to the paper size.
See screen snaps.
In order to get (normal) a printable area of 6.6 x 4.73, you must have  5 x 7 size paper selected.
If  I select 8.5 x 11 then the printable area changes to 10.77 x 8.26 . ( That is my Epson, My Canon is slightly smaller)
This area is controlled by your driver.
As for a default print size, and paper size and type,  Go to FILE and scroll down to Save and restore settings and after setting everything just the way you want Qimage to open for you, click SAVE MANUAL BACKUP.
Let's start here, and wait for Mike

* Notes: Clicking on a print size in the size list can add new prints (if the thumbnail grid is in focus) or change the size of an existing print
in the live view (if the live view preview is in focus).  Users have pointed out that it was easy to click on a print size thinking you are changing
an existing print but instead get a new (unwanted) print and/or page because a thumbnail was the last thing they "touched".  These new
features make it more obvious what will happen when you click on a print size and will also alert you whenever a new page is created.

Oh this is so great!  For a long time I was falling into that trap where I wanted to change a size of a print in the queue, and I got the new size and another copy or copies of other thumbs which I had selected earlier. I wanted to print my new 8 x 10 and QU would try to print all in the queue. Finally, Mike recognized my distress, and put a button to PRINT TOP IMAGE showing in the queue.
Now I don't even concern myself about images sneaking into my queue. ... and it has sound effects to remind my brain that QU did it for me.
It also shows me + next to my sizes telling me if I click that size I will get selected thumbs into my queue at that size.  If I have an image in the queue already, next to the sizes there's a triangle indicating that clicking on a size will change the size of the print already in the queue.
OK all good EXCEPT..... that triangle. I call it a triangle or a Yield sign. Mike calls it a DELTA?Huh?  A delta is a faucet or a tract of land.... or is this the language of the new generation?
Triangle or Delta?

Need help.I haven't been on qimage for a couple of years. How do I make email versions of files to send. Can't find menu.

Jeff Jessee

Hi Jeff, been a long time.
There are two places to activate the email/web size copies.
One is a right click menu from the Live View screen.
The second is a right click on the thumb or thumbs and there is one there too.
They are slightly different, so use the one that you like best.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Works like a charm.

Did you paste a print in the window next to the other two?
I did with the Canon. Mike is checking the 8550  in his window. Probably cleaner than mine.

The DOWNSIDE    ...  The largest paper is 8.5 inches wide. The 11 x 14s and the 12 x 18s have to run through the Pro 100.
Oh as a bonus, it is a scanner and a copier machine too.

So progress has deemed that I try the Epson ET 8550 printer as that one will print 13" wide and I can make my 12 x 18s and 11 x 14s. The ET stands for echo tank which sources the ink from bottles.
They KEY for me is DYE ink. (It does have a pigment black tank for printing documents) My prints jump off the page on this printer as well as the Canon G620.
I really wish you could see this baby print.
As a bonus, it has a secret compartment that holds a pack of 8.5 x 11 plain copy paper.  This feature only comes alive if you selected plain paper, or as I did this morning, printed a receipt for my water bill from the water bill page. I was amazed when it used that paper.
That secret compartment is so secret that I had to ask our Mike how to access it. I knew he had a new 8550 too.
It has a halloween output tray too. What's that you ask? Usually on every printer I ever had (going back to dot matrix printers with a three color ribbon), you would pull out the tray as far as needed to accommodate the print paper coming out.
This guy sends its output tray out by magic. You stare at it the first time backing away from this "possessed" printer.
You don't need to do anything. Out slides the tray, and the printer is printing.
It put the fun back into printing for me and no more ink guzzling and high costs of replacement cartridges.

've started a repository for ICC profiles that I've created for the Epson ET-8550 (link above).  Right now there are a bunch of Canon papers, one HP paper, and a couple "replacement" profiles for Epson papers that I think are a bit better than the ones that come with the printer/driver.

I realize many of us came from Canon printers and we have a lot of leftover Canon paper.  The most popular Canon papers are covered above so download ICC profile(s) for your Canon paper and use it in your ET-8550!

I've got mine!  Wow.   Thanks, Mike.

If you get any inquiries needing profiles for CanonG620 which did  not come with any profiles  at all, ask Mike. I could use them for my Canon G620
