This maybe related. With any of the Placement Methods, Intelli or Optimal variants I'm getting a Division by Zero error which doesn't go away. If I choose Center, Compact, Template, Manual or Freehand I'm back in business. If this can be duplicated I'm sure Mike will fix it quickly.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Floating Text Properties & Page Background Colour

Thanks Fred. The CTRL V paste into the Text area is a help I'd have never found solo.
With the page bg colour I came close with the color control box, but try this 1 Create a Matt and dropper pick a colour from the photo. Done. 2 Go back into edit Matt and the Color Control rgb values do not reflect the matt colour. 3 Now pick the colour in the matt in the preview window, check the colour control and the rgb is now the matt colour. 4 Punch in the numbers into the Page Background colour control. Now the page is the same as the matt which is the same as the colour in the photo.
Amazing what you can find in QIU if you look hard enough.
Thanks for your early hours help Fred.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Floating Text Properties & Page Background Colour
|
on: August 23, 2017, 09:40:03 AM

1) I have noticed that it's not possible to paste text into the Floating Text Properties. But this week found that text can be dragged into the Text entry area just fine. When I want to add text of greater quantity than "Aunty Harriets Petunias", then the paste function would be handy. I have had those occasions.
2) If I have a photo/s on a page and want to match the Page Background colour to a colour in a photo, does anyone have a simple method of doing this? A Colour Picker tool as in Text Properties and the Photo Matt functions would also be handy for Page Background. I could use the tool in Photo Matts to pick the colour in the photo if the RGB values were available then duplicate in the Page Background.
Forgive me if this should be in Feature Requests.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Rotated images
|
on: August 04, 2017, 01:27:22 PM
|
I have rotated an image 45 degrees and it looks fine in the image editor with a large box all around with 4x white triangles, but in the preview page the top and bottom corners are cut off by the bounding box. I have another query about the Page Background Color which I'll leave for later.
Thanks,
John

Mike, the TIFFs from AP are now creating duplicate thumbnails, both identically named. One file is represented by two thumbnails. Add one thumb to the queue and both thumbnails show with the blue cross.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: TIFFs exported from another program not appearing in On Deck.

Thanks very much Mike for the unprecedented excellent support. The TIFFs appeared in On Deck directly after the update.
A previous problem of invalid pointer error whenever I opened and scrolled through images in two folders is now gone after fixes a couple of updates ago which pleased me no end. I had no hope of finding the problem images.
Thanks again.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / TIFFs exported from another program not appearing in On Deck.

G'day all. I'm exporting a 16bit TIFF from Affinity Photo 1.52.69 and have tried both Bilinear and Lancrzos Non Sep, with Don't export layers unchecked and I cannot place it On Deck. The TIFF originally came out of Lightroom. I think it's a problem with the particular image or something odd about TIFFs out of AP. I can resave the image in yet other applications and it goes to On Deck AOK. PS. Have just converted a RAW in AP the same way and it too will not appear in OD. Will another AP user please try to duplicate this?? PPS. This image has massive wide angle distortion and needed a lot of correction. Thanks from an Au QIU enthusiast.

Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Assigning profiles to individual images.
|
on: November 07, 2016, 01:01:21 PM
|
I found an old July 2013 thread which touched on the following. It seems preferable to start again for advise with the latest QIU version. I have two identical images on a page, and in the Page Editor have assigned different profiles to each. Under the Settings Tab, should I set to OFF in the Printer Profile drop down and let the assigned profiles do their work?? A warning comes up about sending raw data to the printer and OFF is useful for profile creation etc. Does having a profile active in Settings influence the result when the images have their own different profiles? This one is new to me. I'd appreciate more guidance again please.
Regards,
John
